  1. Buxton is a very small town where everyone knows each other and everyone cares about one another. There is a school build when Elijah was a baby ( as said on chapter 2 pg. 23 "They rushed to get the new schoolhouse finished so's there'd be a place big enough for the meeting."), a church for praying ( You can tell because there is the Preacher since pg. 3), and a mill where people work at. They have plenty of trees to use, plenty of jobs for others to help with, and a little lake where Elijah goes every once in a while. Buxton is truly a quaint little town.

  2. Like Evan said, Buxton is a small town where everyone cares about each other. They have many buildings, such as a church and a schoolhouse. There are many different people there, such as the deceiving preacher. He is always tricking Elijah, like, on page 52. Other than him, the people are very nice.

I also agree with Evan. Buxton is a small, bustling town located in the Elgin Settlement at Raleigh in Canada West. But Buxton is just fine. There is a school house; pg. 23; and a church house. ( Preacher ) Everybody is nice, except the Preacher, which as Micheal said tricks Elijah on pg.52. To me, Buxton sounds like a very nice town.

Buxton is a little town. Everyone seems to know each other and most people get along with each other. In Buxton there are a lot of trees. You can tell on page 70 because Mr. Leroy is cutting trees with his axe. There is also a church, you can tell because that's where they have sabbath classes. There's a school too. You can tell in chapter 4. Overall, Buxton is a small town but, very connected.

  6. Buxton is a very dainty little town. But, well organized. There is a schoolhouse, which is mentioned lots, like on pg. 25. There are also houses, like every other town. But what makes Buxton so unique, is that they all look exactly the same on the outside, as told on pg. 68. There are many people living here too. Well, not too many, but everybody knows everybody. There is Miss Duncan-the-first and Miss Duncan-the-second (pg. 65), Mrs. Brown (pg. 66), Mr. Travis (pg. 78), the Preacher (pg. 36), Mr. Polite (pg. 90), Cooter, (pg. 90) and lots lots lots lots others!!!

  7. Buxton is a small town, and all the people that live there are close to everyone. They are always willing to lend a hand, like mentioned on page 76 and 77. The town watches out for each other too like on page 55. Though all the houses have to be the same on the outside the insides are different and customized as said on page 68.

Buxton is a small, helpful, and not so quite town. What I mean by it being not so quite is because on page 57 it said that you could not even hear Mr. Leroy's axe. Just like Alex B said, the town is always helping each other like on page 17. This is a town where all people are free, but have to have the same format and decoration on the outsides of there houses as it says on page 68.
