I am probably most like, and most dislike, Cooter. I am interested in mysteries, like Cooter is on pg.1-2. On pg.90-91, it states that Cooter is being disrespectful. I am respectful, especially to adults. Cooter is being disloyal and ignorant on pg.90 when he says Elijah gave him bad info. I am the opposite of those two qualities. We are alike on pg. 15-16. I love a great laugh, but not about scaring people. The last contrast is that I would not run out on a friend when scared of something like hoop snakes.

  2. I am going to compare and contrast myself with Elijah. On pg 87, 'Lijah says he doesn't try to say that he is smarter than Cooter, but he does study things more. So, I am definitely like Elijah in that way, because I look at things into their depths. But, I am also different than Elijah, because if the Preacher took my fish, or made up a story of lies as my childhood, I would speak up. On pg. 40, the preacher is not sure if 'Lijah's chunking is a gift from the Lord, or a mission from Satan. If he said this to me, I would of said something to him.

  3. The person in the story that I am most alike and unlike is Preacher. I admit, I will come up with some devious trick to get what I want sometimes. I also confess that I will do a lot of things for something to go my way,(without becoming a bad person). Some ways I am unlike are that I don't believe in hoop snakes, or at least their killing methods. Another way I am different is I would never point a gun at someone to "free" someone else when they are perfectly happy with their life. The last way I am unlike him is that he is constantly dishonest. I'm always honest, but still, that doesn't mean I wont try to trick someone into doing something for me.

I will compare and contrast myself to Elijah's mother. I do accuse people sometimes for being wimps like she does throughout the story to Elijah, but especially like on page page 10. I am unlike her because I am not a mom, and I don't live in Canada or in the time era. But, I can sometimes read peoples facial expression when something is just not right like what she did on page 189.

I am contrasting myself with Elijah. I think I am similar to him in quite a few ways. One way is sometimes I'm "fragile". Like Eli's afraid to ride the "big" horse on page 181. I get scared around horses sometimes too. Also, some people call me a wimp (my family) like how Elijah's "fragile".

There are also reasons why I am not like 'Lijah though too. One way is I am able to think more realistically. I wouldn't let the Preacher trick me like how he did on page 48. I also wouldn't let my friend lead me to believe we were learning about family breeding contests. All in all I think I can think things through more intently.

  6. I would compare and contrast myself to Cooter. In some ways we are alike, like on page 8 how he ran home when Preacher started telling them about the snake. I probably would've done the same. And on page 79 and 80 how he gets Elijah all riled up about a lesson he thinks will be fun. I would do that too if it was going to be an interestingm lesson.
There are a few ways how Cooter and I are different like on pages 90 and 91 how he addressed Mr. Travis is different than the way I would've done it. And on page 90 how Cooter blames his best friend fro giving him wrong information. I would alsways appreciate my friends unlike him.

  7. I am going to compare and contrast myself and Elija's dad. First of all Elija's dad seems to be a sweet, kind, person. Who keeps to himself, but always listens. So my parents would describe me the same way.
Then the way he isn't like me is how he cuts wood I like in chapter 12. He is also a man and i'm a girl. Then he is a father and i'm not.

  8. I think that I'm a bit like Eligiah's father.I think that I'm like him because he seems like an outdoor type of person like on page 12 and I like to do stuff outdoors as well.I also think that I'm a fairly nice person.I think that I'm unlike him because I dont really keep to myself because I like to talk to my friends a lot and sometimes ask questions.
